HOUSE IN SOCORRO
The house is set in an existing garden with fruit trees and other plants grown by the owner. It is designed to have levels that follow the gradient of the site in order to avoid cutting and filling of the land. The rooms are segregated in order to feel independent but not detached. The paths meet at common spaces like the dining room and the verandas. The central courtyard is proportioned to allow the spaces surrounding it to open up to the courtyard without feeling constrained.
